Finally visited Osaka castle… Magnificent structure, with two layers of vast moats surrounding it! The current keep was actually only rebuilt back in the 1930s, but the original one was first erected about 500 years ago. Massive stones in the walls too! Some estimated to weigh as much as 150 metric tonnes!
I’m on a mission to find a way I can enjoy consuming Japanese history while actually absorbing it… It will be a significant turning point in my life if I actually start enjoying museums as a result! We’ll see…
