Had Japanese 7-Spice (Shichimi) Soft Serve today in Kyoto. Shichimi is a nice salty, savoury, and a bit spicy blend of spices that is used on a lot of dishes here… And apparently in ice cream too!
It was surprisingly pleasant – almost dissapointingly so – because it was more of a nice milk soft serve with a bit of a spicy burn on the side.
Kyoto station is huge! 11 floors of escalators all in a row works their way up the massive complex. Definitely the tallest escalators I’ve ever ridden.
