A belated fall post

Hello, it’s been awhile!

I’ve been meaning to post some pictures of 紅葉 (momiji, fall colours) in Japan for over a month now… Fall starts much later in Western Japan, particularly so this year. I didn’t see much colour until late November, and leaves only left the trees about Christmas. It was beautiful though since there are many Japanese maples and ginkgo trees on the hills and mountains I see on my train rides to work. I do lots of exploring and hiking with a couple of teacher friends here on my weekends. There’s all the novelty I could ever have hoped for!
